When making a television repair often we find damage in the form of leakage voltage on the anode tube headers. Marked with visible / faint of electric flame out of the rubber boundary header. This is possible because at this point there is a high voltage of 25 Kv.
The cause is often due to conditions that have changed the header of rubber elasticity, damage to the conductor plate in dalamya, also because of the erosion of the insulator layer is usually colored red on the surface of the glass tube around the anode.
Damage such as this if left for long periods can cause damage to the possibility of spreading to other parts on the TV board.
From various experiments in the field encountered ide2 to overcome this problem, there are disposable paslin, glue castol, replace with a layer of paint pilox, etc.. But sometimes not been able to overcome completely.
In our experience the necessary corrective measures include:
- Replace rubber tube anode header plate along with it.
- then clean the "red area" around the head position, with a cloth dampened with paint thinner A/ND quick-drying.
When the red layer is still there and it is difficult not need to be cleaned, , because later will be united also with a new layer.
Do not forget to also clean the anode plate hole.
- Prepare paint "Enamel" (useful as a base layer before the paint on iron surface) with a viscosity sufficient, need not be too thin (Only if too thick add thinners ND). This material is used to coat re-surface around the anode tube is red. Can be applied with a small brush or the tip of a rather large screwdriver min. Layer eventually may be a bit thick but not apa2.
- Wait until dry , rather long can until one day one night.
